What does mycorrhizae do?

Mycorrhizae increase a plant’s ability to uptake moisture and nutrients. This is particularly important in uptake of phosphorus, one of the major nutrients required by plants. When mycorrhizae are present, plants are less susceptible to water stress and generally produce higher yields.
